Mont Saint Michel has excited in Second Life for many years, but sadly will now close. It is a splendid build, and though I have not been to Mont Saint-Michel in Normandy, I hear that it is very true to life. You can wander the narrow streets when vendors try to sell you all sorts, and you can have coffee at a café before you climb the stairs to the abbey at the top of the Mont.
I don’t think I will ever get to see the real Mont Saint-Michel, so I was very happy to have had the opportunity to do so in Second Life. There is no fatigue climbing the stairs to the top. There is no sun-burn. There are no flies. And I bet there are far less tourists in the Second Life version.
I’m sad to see the build go, but I’m very happy that I got to see this virtual version of a beautiful place, and I want to thank the owner Moeka for giving me this opportunity.
