She needs a change

Bine has been in SL for a long time. In May 2013, I got her the first full SIM.

It was a rented Homestead. We called it Binemist and we enjoyed it very much. It changed form a few times over the years, and that was part of the charm.

3 years in we gave up the homestead, and I bought Bine a used full region. Bine and I had so much fun decorating with no limits, or what 30.000 land permitted prims feels like. The SIM changed a few times, and ended with a wonderful interpretation of a RL place on Gotland, a Swedish island in the Baltic Sea – Bungenäs.

End of an era

10 years in I felt fatigue. I hardly spend any time in SL, Bine also felt lonely. Having a SIM meant spending time there, felt more important than going to places and meeting people. So in march 2024 I decided to sell the SIM. Someone bought it, and kept the design. Even to this day – 2 years in the Bungenäs Design is still there. She closed it off to the public, and I cannot visit. But I can see it on the World Map. That continues to please me.

The quiet periode

As mentioned 2 years have passed. The first 1 and a half nothing. Bine logged in from time to time to look at shopping events, but she got bored with that – what is there to buy when there is nothing to decorate.

It was my plan to maybe go and be more social, but it never really happened. I started to miss having a place to decorate. With a Premium Plus I got Bine a bigger Linden Home with 937 prims to play with and a parcel size of 2048 m². We found a very nice Mediterranean style place on Puteketeke.

I thought it was perfect for us. It’s behind some hills, I can’t see the neighbours and their bad choices in decorating. Unless we go up into the sky. Then the platforms are everywhere. I have to keep the draw distance very low.

And I miss water and a cost line. So WE NEED A CHANGE
