One of the reasons I love it so much, is that it tries to mimic the Burning Man in real world Nevada. I remember when Burning Man first started out – I had just started university back then – and some of my fellow students were going. I thought the idea of meeting in the desert at a sort of Roskilde Festival (that I knew and attended many times) was just awesome. And I wanted to go. Back then I couldn’t afford it, and now I wouldn’t get the US visa. Anyhow… I see the films from the Real Burning Man and I still find it amazing. It looks like so much fun.

I love that I am able to attend a virtual Burning Man via SecondLife, and I love that the community tries so hard to make it look and feel like the real thing (but without the dust). The crazy art is there, the fun art-cars are there, the parties, the sand and even the Burning Man. It’s great and I look forward to next year.

I love anything from POST but the church is special. I had wanted a church to put on my parcel for a while as I think the idea of using the church as a living space is very interesting and exciting, even in the real world. But it is not easy to make possible in the real world, but in SecondLife anything is possible.

I made a video, Machinima of Bine wondering in front of the church and inside it. it is rich in detail and she wants to show it all off.

The coolest thing about the church is that you can find in the real world in Sweden.

Van Auster has made his SL copy very true to the original, and I would love to go and see the real thing in Sweden. It would be fantastic, I think, and Sweden is not so far away. I think I shall go one day very soon. I’ll let you know how that pans out.
