In the spring of this year, I read on Bryn Oh’s blog that she would cast the dancer in bronze. I love bronze, and I have long been contemplating getting some bronze art, so I decided to put my name down for a copy. It has just arrived, and it’s beautiful.

I’m still decorating Binemust. It’s slow going as I don’t spend that much time in SL. I work in IT in an office all day, and often when I come home I want to do something else than sit in front of the computer, but I like to log in for an hour or so in the morning before I go to work. I get some decorating done then, but this past week that time has been spend on SL13B.

There is so much to see at the birthday celebrations. Last year I took part with a little under-water exhibit depicting Binemist, this year I’m there to have fun. This weekend is the Music Fest and I hope to be able to join some of the shows, as I often spend time in-world on weekends.

But there is another reason why I might not. Summer. The weather is beautiful in my part of the world at the moment. Not every summer is, but this year it has been really really nice, and I want to be outside. Computers outside in the sun is not a good idea – it doesn’t really work.

So all in all getting Binemust ready for the punters is proving to take a wee bit longer than what I would have wanted. I hope it will be worth the wait.

. We met years ago in Second Life. The first night we met, we sat and chatted for hours which isn’t normal for me. We found that we had much in common, and I must admit I loved how his avatar looked. Strong, independent and different.

We would hook up on and off in-world after that, and at some point we started chatting and eventually talking outside of Second Life. We talked about all sorts and we decided to meet up in the real world. I asked my husband if it would be okay if I went to meet Stefan on a holiday, and he gave the green light.

That was in 2011. I’ve gone to the Alps to visit Stefan for a week’s holiday every spring since. This is in other words my fifth visit, and we still have lots to talk about. We share the love of the mountains, we hike and we go shooting, and we eat a lot of cake.

Stefan is not the first friend from Second Life that I have met in the real world, and I would recommend anyone to take the step and experience it. It’s fun and it can also be very rewarding. But one should of course take care – meeting someone from Second Life is after all meeting someone from the Internet.

I have some issues with my tailbone. I can’t really sit down in front of the computer for long periods at a time. That makes my word-day somewhat hard, as I work in an IT department. Luckily I can raise my table so I don’t sit in front of my computer, I stand, and that means that my days at work are exhausting at the moment.

My boss has furthermore decided that we have to go round the office and talk to all the users. Stand next to them and help them with any IT issues they might have. It’s a super idea. Users love it. But I often feel under attack – I’m sure you know; It’s amazing how we, as users, can bitch about systems!

So when I come home to my flat, I spend rather a lot of time on my back on a nice comfy sofa, staring into the ceiling.

But I miss my SecondLife. I have a big arse desktop gaming computer luckily on a table that I can raise, but I don’t really feel much like spending whole evenings stand there – I prefer to be on my back when I am at home (I have someone who likes to cook for me, don’t worry). I also have a MacBook, but it’s not really very good in SL. But I found SLGo. That is brilliant for shopping and exploring on the Mac. I haven’t figured how to fiddle with stuff lying on back, but I can explore and shop.

So earlier this week I went to Uber. I like the theme. It suits my mood.

Red is my favourite colour – in both worlds and for all times. In the real world I feel a little bit too old to wear  the short red dress that I used to wear when I was young, but Bine is eternally young and beautiful, and she can wear the red dress for me now.
