I was looking at Flickr pictures, minding my own business, when a snapshot from Strawberry Singh caught my eye. I then read her blogpost and I was intrigued. Never heard of Vanessa Blaylock before, but I shall be following her blog hence forth. Vanessa pledge that all her challenges in 2015 will be inspired by an artist – living or dead. That will be interesting to follow.

Her Avatar in a Box Challenge inspired by Hugh Kretschmer‘s 2006 art/fashion piece Special Delivery where he lovingly assembles outfits and body parts in a box. That really appealed to me, so I got my friend Gora to help me, so to me this is AvatarS in a Box.

Red is my favourite colour – in both worlds and for all times. In the real world I feel a little bit too old to wear  the short red dress that I used to wear when I was young, but Bine is eternally young and beautiful, and she can wear the red dress for me now.

Edward Munch made a series of paintings called Livets Dans (Dance of life) they depict the three women; the very young woman wears white, the experienced woman wears red and the old woman wears black – I tend to wear more black now, although I do still wear my red clogs:

Most of us are excited about the new Linden Lab CEO Ebbe Altberg and the fact that he seems so genuinely interested in the users of our world SecondLife. Strawberry Singh has made a flat Ebbe Linden (Ebbe Altberg’s handle in SecondLife), and made him available on Secondlife Marketplace. In her Meme instructions Berry asks bloggers can show Ebbe our favourite place in SecondLife and to share three things with him.

I took Ebbe to see my SIM Binemist, and we got caught in the rain. Where I come from there is no such thing as bad weather – just wear the appropriate outfit. I thing Ebbe was getting cold and wet, but Bine had a blast in her new poncho and old wellies.

I want to tell Ebbe that I think it’s really good that he interacts so much with the users. I’m looking forward to the full emersion with the oculus rifts and I’m really excited that Linden Lab is working so hard on that full emersion viewer. I would like to see more about SecondLife in the media, so people don’t say: “SeconLife? Is that still around?” when I tell them about my hobby.

I love dancing in Second Life. Whenever my partner Michaell logs in, we always dance. We seldom go anywhere, as I have an intan on Binemist – my sim, but on the picture we went dancing at Soni and Bel’s wedding.

The video is an old piece I filmed in 2011. I think it’s so cute and it features one of my favourite dances too, and Michaell and I look different than what we normally look like. I wonder if it was Halloween…

1. Which dance are you sharing in the image/video and where is it from? I am not sure what Michaell and I danced in the Photo, but the video is Two of us by Wild Moo from 3FX. I have 4 of his dances in my intan, and I love all of them
2. Which is your favourite dance in Second Life? The slow dances from Bits and Bobs are really good, but I also like Sweet Animation. When I DJ I use a dance HUD to invite others to dance with me and my favourite single dances are from AKEYO and HUMANOID
3. What are your favorite dance animation stores in Second Life? I think it must be AKEYO. It has been so long since I bought any couple dances, I don’t really know what is out there, but the single dances I still buy, and then I go to AKEYO.
4. Are you a frequent dancer in Second Life?  I am. I dance whenever I get a chance. I have a couple of wonderful dance partners, and when ever we are online at the same time – me and one of my dance partners – we dance.
5. Are you a frequent dancer in the real world? I love to dance in the real world too. I often dance a bit after dinner, and when I DJ, I tend to do it standing up, so I can dance too.

1. Is autumn your favourite season? Why or why not? – No it isn’t.  I am a bigger fan of spring and summer, but I do love the light in autumn. The low sun shinning through the woods where the leaves are turning. That bit I do love.
2. Do you call it Autumn or Fall? – When I speak English I call it Autumn
3. What kind of weather does your area get during this season? – It is mostly damped but then sun does shine too. Temperatures start to dive down and touch frost at night, but that’s okay as that is what gives the leaves the turning in colour – and it is always nice and warm inside.

The place I spend the most time at the moment has to be my own SIM Biminist on Mystical Falls. I just love the place and as my friend Kain says, it’s lovely because of all the space. I totally agree, if I can say so myself.

My second favourite place is Taniz. This is where I DJ and this is where I meet up with a lot of my friends. I have been coming on Taniz – a really beautiful and well designed SIM – for a good number of years now. I love it there and I love the people there.

My third choice has to be Tableau. I have been coming to this SIM a very long time – even before it turned into this bone-dry desert SIM that it is today, I have loved coming here. I often go with my best friend and SL sister Gora and we have so much fun here trying out all the crazy stuff that are everywhere on Tableau. I really love the craziness of this SIM

The Fourth choice is Cupcake Sim. This rainy French town that always takes forever for me to rez is all worth it. The shops are pretty and the street likewise. There are lots of little alleyways and there is a town square with a marked with stalls and everything. This has been a favourite of mine for a long time.

The last SIM I will share with you now is Hazardous on Misali because it has inspired me so much in my design of Biminist. It is a great looking SIM with lots of little surprises and it is also a great show room for the stuff that Mandingo Quan makes. I have used a lot of his stuff on my SIM too.

These are my top places in Second Life. Places I return to again and again. There are other places too of course, but this is my Top 5.
