I filled a nice house with Cica Art – It makes perfect sense…

I saw these lamps and thought that I would love to make something like that. A tall cliff with a platform and a house on top, and then use ladders on one of them and a lift on the other.

I took the FANATIK Lofoten rocks and build a platform on top using the Apple Fall Coastal Pier Kit. The ladders are DRD ladders, and the lift I build myself using prims.My build doesn’t look anything like Convair’s lamps, but that is the whole point of inspiration – I see something, I get inspired and I make something that is mine.

And I’m very pleased with the result

I didn’t think I would use Alex Bader Skye Beach again, but they work really well and they provide the Nordic Beach Feel that I try to aim for in most of my builds. I added the his Beach Rocks, and the rugged feel of the Nordic Beach is complete.

The bedroom and the stairs look much the same as when I first decorated it with a bed and shades from Soy., and knick knacks from ionic, [we’re closed], ~BAZAR~, Scarlet Creative, BALACLAVA and Dust Bunny.

Th kitchen has changed a little over the years, but not since I discovered the kitchen from DRD. That kitchen is just so perfect. It looks good, the propositions are quite good, the animations are useful. It’s just a good kitchen. The flowers and table and chairs are also from DRD. Then make good stuff.

The living room has changed a few times. Latest it has lots of potted plants. I do love potted plants in both worlds.

But what I love the most about the Beach House is the big windows and looking out over the sea. Sitting by the table at sun rise is amazing.

The reason for this post is not to promote the Beach House, not at all because I have decided to take it down. Time for a new crazy looking island where the Beach House stands today.

The snow melted and Binemust is now all colours again. I do think the snow looks pretty, but I quickly tire of it with all the non colours. With spring Binemust is full of colour.

I have taken the church down. It has been on Binemust since the start – it was the first building I put up, and it has had a very good run. I have enjoyed putting up crazy non-churchy stuff and letting the ruff bikers take over, but now it’s time for a change. Stefani gave me a Castle for Christmas, and the Castle has now taken the spot of the church. It looks amazing.

I have yet to decorate it inside, but with time that will happen too.

All over the ground it’s snowing. Ice is covering the sea, and the sea animals has gone to warmer places. There is still lots to see under the surface, but you can only get there through the potholes from the portal.

It had that degree of decay that I find very attractive, and it sparked my imagination in a big way. I wrote a short post on San Mora when the Faire was happening. Read it here.

Death Row Design is a commercial outfit, so of course you can buy all the buildings in San Mora, and as I was hanging out at the Faire, I thought about how much I wanted to recreate my own version of San Mora. I have plenty of prims to spare at Binemust, so I decided to build a place on a platform above Binemust – a place that pays homage to San Mora, but also a place that is very different from San Mora. My own decaying city, so let me introduce:

Vimmershavn

Vimmershavn is a walled-in city where life seem to have vanished, but of course it hasn’t. If you look closely, you will find pockets of hope and life even within in the city.

Outside the city Nature has reclaimed the space. No animals as of yet, but plenty of greenery. Someone has made a very cozy living space in the ruined buildings in the mist of Nature – it’s pure hygge.

There is only one scary place in Vimmershavn and that is the very old ruins where the Musical Souls have been trapped.

There is a new issue out of LTD Magazine March/April 2017 and I found a few very inspirational things in there. This for example is so much fun, and I have the Wooden Figure from Soy., I just hadn’t thought how to use it. But when I saw this I knew. I had to plant my Wooden Figure in the bath tub in the Sky Box.
