I love to put things together and make them interesting. Like the other day when I made a fun, futuristic, oriental food marked above my Linden Home.

But then what? I can make some cute snapshots and post them (or keep them to myself). And then take it down again.

Here’s one: a cute snapshot of Bine with her bike at the food marked.

It’s fun, but it also kind of sad. It was more fun when I could invite others to come and see it and play with it and have fun.

The snow melted and Binemust is now all colours again. I do think the snow looks pretty, but I quickly tire of it with all the non colours. With spring Binemust is full of colour.

Spring colours

I have taken the church down. It has been on Binemust since the start – it was the first building I put up, and it has had a very good run. I have enjoyed putting up crazy non-churchy stuff and letting the ruff bikers take over, but now it’s time for a change. Stefani gave me a Castle for Christmas, and the Castle has now taken the spot of the church. It looks amazing.

Caitlin’s beautiful goodbye to Binemist and Frisland. I remember the first time Cait blogged about Binemist, Frisland was also in the same post, so this is so fitting. I really like that as I have found inspiration and enjoyed my visits to Frisland too.

Not that I am going to be all philosophical, far from it, but somehow this version of the wellknown saying came to mind this week. After seeing two announcements on Flickr, about two sims I have always enjoyed visiting which will close soon: Binemist and Frisland.

Followers of my blog and Flickr will no doubt know I frequented those lovely places often the past years.

End of an Era

3 years ago today I let the SIM Mystical Falls and called it Binemist. I have had some great times these past 3 years, I have learnt a lot and I have had so much fun with it. Now it’s time to take the next step! As you can read in my previous post I have bought a SIM. It’s a full SIM – which means so much more capacity, I basically have my own server now at LindenLabs, and I am already forming plans on how to use it. I seek inspiration from all over the grid and it is all very exciting.

But alas there is some sadness in this too. Because what will become of Binemist now that I have a new “baby”. I did consider buying it from it’s owner, but it doesn’t make sense to buy a Homested, so after a few IMs back and forth between myself and the owner, we decided that I will give it up, when the let expires in less than 2 weeks.

So if you want to go and enjoy/explore Binemist for the last time, you should do it by the end of May. The SIM will go back to the owner by May 31st.

New dawn

I am now an estate owner. I bought Mimi’s SIM – Mimi from Mimi’s Choice. Her business has been slowing – all the events has taken the air out of it, and she wanted to sell her SIM. I have been thinking about getting a full SIM for a while now. Just think 15000 prims to play with! And when Mimi told her group that she was selling, I thought: “This is my chance!” So I contacted Mimi and today the sale was settled. I am now the estate owner of Binemust – and the work can begin.

Binemist is one of those sims I have featured often on my blog, simply because the landscaping and themes changes ever so often – making it a delight to return and explore.

The lovely and talented Biné Rodenberger now has changed Binemist 4.0 into a deserted, dry land. While I always loved the water sims for the use of windlight and reflections, this new dry desert is absolutely gorgeous and a great example of ‘less is more’.

If you are a regular visitor of Binemist, you will still find some familiar artifacts around – like the Vikingship, the statue of Buddha and artworks…

I made the 2nd issuu in my series of Binemist. It’s a thin one, but there is a reason for that. I was never really happy with the second version of Binemist so it was only online for 6 months. It was however still beautiful, and people loved it.

New Project – Creating Zines

“It’s dead easy!” someone said, “Just make an account and get creative!”

They were talking about making publications on Issuu, and yes it is easy to set up an account, but it has taken me some time, some head cracking and several tries to figure out how to make the pdf file to upload. But I think I’m getting the hang of it.

My idea is to use some the the awesome pictures of Binemist that I have found on Flickr. There are some really good artists out there who take fantastic snapshot in-world and on Binemist. I wanted to showcase that in my zines. I have asked the artists if I can use their snapshots, and most said yes, so here is my first issuu-zine:

Dancing Challenge by Strawberry Singh

Last time Berry did the dancing challenge in Secondlife I took it as dancing is one of my favourite things to do in Secondlife. It was in 2014, and I was dancing with my partner Michaell. I also answered all her question at the time.

Now it’s 2016, and Berry has made another dancing challenge. I have a new partner and she is lovely. Here we are dancing on Binemist.
