Remembering Opal Flight

Opal Flight was my favourite SIM on this year’s Fantasy Faire. Sonya Marmurek wrote this very informative piece on the Fantasy Faire website, and it sums it all up.

For three years now Fantasy Faire has included a Faireland dedicated to Arts and Entertainment. This is the place where the dance and particle performances take place, where art galleries are situated, where we host those parties too big to fit on the deck of our beloved party ship, The FaireChylde.

It all begun in 2014 when Haveit Neox set his marvelous art installation around the Palace of Tears, which was our hunt Faireland of the year. At the same time we gathered our first art gallery and placed the paintings on the walls of the Palace. The combination was so brilliant and pleased Her High Faireness so much that for 2015 Haveit Neox was invited to shape a whole world for this purpose.

After that we have seen Poseidon’s Abyss, Sapphire Mirror Lake and now this year, Opal Flight, grow to be a part of the Fairelands, always fitting in…
